The $80k Adsense Site

We’ve identified hundreds of sites on Flippa that make money from affiliate commissions and then we discuss them, often in detail; not with the intention of buying them, but to clone them! And many WPBlackhat members have done just that

To be frank, I think the new owner paid way too much for it! It’s a basic MFA site with low quality content, and it’s based on a simple template. I think it’s unlikely the new owner will re-coup his investment for a number of years!

Personally, I don’t do Adsense anymore, even though I still have two active accounts. But if I did, I’d focus on problem-solution type niches. Where surfers are looking for solutions to problems, and where there are many advertisers offering solutions. For example, you could build a successful empire of Adsense autoblogs around health issues – arthritis, IBS, crohn’s, gout, chronic fatigue, diabetes, haemorrhoids, hypertemsion, ulcers, fungal infection, etc, etc, etc. There are tons of advertisers offering solutions for the above disorders, so visitors will be interested in clicking the ads. Obviously, you can still employ the usual trickery – such as images near ads, several blocks above the fold, lightening text so the ads stand out, etc. But, fundamentally, you want visitors to be interested in clicking the ads!
