The Art of Link Spamming
It ceases to amaze me how many people complain after buying link-spamming tools like SE Nuke, Scrapebox, EVO II, Sick’s Profile Maker and – the big daddy of them all – Xrumer. The usual complaints are: ‘my site dropped in the SERPs’, ‘looks like my site is now banned’, ‘my site is still not indexed’, blah, blah, blah!
Realize, Google’s (and other SEs) spam team buy these tools and test them. They look for footprints and patterns. So, if you use them out-the-box then you may find they aren’t effective or they damage your sites’ ranking!
Most buyers of these tools fail to appreciate that link-spamming is a skill! Like learning to be a plumber, electrician or bricklayer, etc, but the art of link-spamming can be gained in a relatively short period unlike other trades.
As with learning any trade, trial and error plays a big role and so does learning from mistakes. Yet, I wonder how many owners of the tools above have bothered to learn how to use them properly or continually to develop their skill? Less than 5% perhaps?
First, let me tell you that all the above tools work and work well if you know how to use them. Also, if you know how to use them effectively, you cannot fail at moving your sites up the SERPs consistently!
So, how can you develop your link-spamming skills?
It’s so simple you’ll be floored: practice, make mistakes, learn from them and improve. Here’s how to do it. (While improving your link-spamming skills, practice on other peoples sites and NOT your own!)
Choose a small number of niches that you are not interested in. Choose some keywords related to those niches. Use the keywords to search Google and go to pages 10 to 15 and choose one of the URLs on that page. Now:
Spam lots links to a URL all with the same anchor text.
Find another URL and spam lots of links with varied anchor text.
Again, spam links to another URL using just profile pages.
Spam links to another URL using non-related anchor text.
Spam links embedded with spun text.
Spam just a few links to a URL, then after a while, a few more.
Etc.
Keep a journal and monitor how the URLs perform in the SERPs, very soon, you’ll begin to understand how variations of link-spamming can affect sites and pages; especially when you see sites/pages move up the SERPs and even drop in the SERPs. Then, you’ll begin to develop insights into how to link-spam effectively and how to NOT link-spam!
Because link-building is such an important skill, WPBlackhat is being re-structured to provide even greater value to it members. As a result, we’ll be focusing on two core skills (with many case studies) that can take any-one who masters them to earning six-figures and beyond! What are those two core skills?
Link-building mastery, and;
Pre-selling master.
To make 6-figurres annually, these are the only 2 skills you really need and nothing else! I’ll explain more in my next post.
Fuckin’ nice post.
Lot of people complain against Xrumer, because that is not an out of the box tool.
But that’s good: make the market less competitive, and some people can make more money.
What program does all the WordPress spam that I see show up on my blogs? It doesn’t seem like XRumor does Wordperss – it seems to do forums.
I’m just a whitehat. But I think it’s the same: “practice, make mistakes, learn from them and improve”. In the black business even more.
Dude you have a REAL good blog, i am not spamming this to get a link, i mean it
I know according to your entries you are on BHW, warriors and DP…so i assume you know your ****. Will keep reading, good stuff!!! G.
i use scrapebox. Will keep reading your blog, some nice stuff on there!
You are exactly right. Most people don’t realize that there is a learning curve when purchasing this type of software. I purchased some cloaking software about 8 years ago and didn’t take the time initally to learn how to use. Or to use it to its fullest potential. After having it for about 5 years I finally took the time to learn what really made it work for me. Now I don’t run a site without it.
I just recently purchased scrapebox and Ubot software and I am contemplating XRumer as well. Another learning curve, but I will get there. Damn good article by the way.
its funny when peoeel buy xrumer, take default base and spam their whitehat site they were workin on sicne months blowing up everything within few hours
Straight to the heart of the matter! This is the first time I’ve heard link spamming referred to as an art form. It certainly is, and is one worth knowing. Thanks, keep bringing in the goods.
Good post. I’ve been thinking of buying xrumer.
In the interests of promoting the ethos outlined in your article I’m commenting largely anonymously.
I’ve seen loads of crap link-building projects work time and time again and it makes me cringe to see the work that is being passed off as SEO and although I am hugely reluctant to do so, will there come a point when I jump right in and join them? What am I supposed to say to clients who are being outdone by comment spammers, article marketers and directory submitters?
Wil I stop allowing comments on my company blog to stop the [Web Design Mumbai] crowd from pestering me with their pitchy “Great post!” “Congratulations on fine web site and nice advice” plugs?
I’ll confess that out of morbid curiosity I’ve recently set up a test site on an exact match domain and am trying out all these daft techniques to see just how effective they are. I rather suspect they’ll work well and I’ll end up crying into my morning cup of coffee.
That said, the thought of littering the web with useless comments and duff links makes me cringe and makes me feel sorry for the future generations who will have to find their way through the quagmire, not to mention pay for all the spinning discs storing all those precious bytes of spam!
Dude, that is so friggin funny, and yet so simple. I really don’t know why I didnt think of doing this. What I have been doing is setting up some crappy free website and using a variety of spamming techniques to see how it reacts. But I like your idea better. I think internally we are all greedy and we think to ourselves “what if it works? I wont benefit from it”. But that thinking will limit what we do (as far as spamming goes).
One more question: 6 figures annually isnt that great unless it’s like mid-upper 6 figures annually. Do you know of any BHer that is making 7 figures or more? You see, my goals are not small.
I am wondering how this guy got his link on a site:
I wont put the site here but will describe how the link is.
The source code on the page that he some how puts is:
305 movie
Its a hidden link on a word press site, he managed to get it into the frame work of the page.
My question is how did he do it? Any ideas?
Aaron
My question is how did he do this, there is 100’s of other sites where he put this link
